Free training opportunities: Best Practices to reach & include LGBTQ people!
Sonoma Valley
Many LGBTQ youth report that there are zero adults they can trust with their identity. This can get in the way of their safety, development, or learning. Our goal is to make environments where LGBTQ youth can thrive and train providers feel confident in supporting them.
In order to better serve our gay and transgender youth, LGBTQ Connection is offering a FREE "Reaching and Serving LGBTQ Youth in Sonoma Valley"" best practice workshop on Wednesday, November 29th from 8:00am-12:00pm at La Luz Bilingual Center in 17560 Greger St., Sonoma, CA 95476.
This training helps providers to improve awareness, access & inclusion of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, & Questioning (LGBTQ) Youth in Sonoma Valley.
Join our workshop to:
Learn about LGBTQ identity, terms & issues.
Hear personal experiences from a panel of local LGBTQ people.
Take away practical best practices for what you & your org can do to better reach & serve LGBTQ people.
Have opportunities for discussion, questions, & comments.
